In the spring and summer time, try to buy carrots with sheaf “cheerful” greens.
The same rule applies to this root and try to find fresh and good looking sheaf, as it indicates its freshness.

Better to choose smaller and medium size with a rich green color. Try to avoid to buy with yellow spots on the peel and soft sides.
When choosing asparagus, pay your attention to the condition of the tips and ends of the stems. The first should be solid and not open, and the second ones are not too dry. The color of asparagus is a rich green, and only at the base, it can be slightly whitish.
You can make an easy experiment, pop off the dry stem of the avocado. If you see a nice yellow-green you can take it with you, if it is brown, then put it back.
When choosing overseas pineapple, look at its base. The golden-yellow color rising to the top is a sign of ripeness. Leaves in the upper part of the fetus must remain green and have a healthy appearance. It is also useful to evaluate the fragrance of the fruit: if it is sweet and fruity, then pineapple is ready for use.
Oranges, clementine, and grapefruits ripen exclusively on trees. To choose the ripe, look at their weight and appearance. Citrus fruits should be heavy for their size, their skin is dense (without soft beaten sides), and colors are alive and saturated.
The main “enemy” of strawberry is mold; beware of its “fluffy” manifestations in the packaging of berries. Fruits of small size, usually sweeter. Buy a strong-looking and whole red berries.
It is not difficult to choose bananas. Fruits with a greenish skin quickly ripen at home in a paper bag. If you decide to make banana cakes or pancakes today, buy bananas full of yellow color (you can even have brown specks).
And the last tip: off-season do not be afraid to buy frozen food. Contrary to popular belief, fruits and vegetables from packs contain a maximum of nutrients, because they are produced at the peak of ripeness and harvest season. They are extremely light in both storage and prepared
